Frequently Asked Question

My DAC is asynchronous, what does the re-clocking?
Last Updated 2 years ago

Question: My DAC is asynchronous mode and has its own internal master clock therefore my question is who is the master clock in this case?

Answer: The iUSB 3.0 nano & micro re-clock the USB datastream, not the audio data directly. It improves data integrity and makes sure data is received and decoded correctly. In asynchronous USB audio mode the audio clock is controlled by the DAC and the built-in clock.
